UNSSC is headquartered in Turin, Italy with offices in Bonn, Germany, and Madrid, Spain. UNSSC is establishing a pool of pre-qualified consultants to provide instructional design, elearning development and digital learning production support across its programme areas, including leadership and management, sustainable development, and peace and security. The selected consultants will contribute to the design, development, maintenance and quality assurance of a wide range of online learning products and knowledge resources, including self-paced courses, blended learning programmes, webinars, multimedia content and other digital learning solutions. Consultants on the roster may be engaged on an ad-hoc basis depending on programme priorities, project requirements and timelines. Fees and duration will be determined based on the specific terms of reference of individual assignments. Inclusion in the pool of pre-

2 qualified consultants does not guarantee immediate engagement but enables rapid contracting when instructional design and e-learning support needs arise. Responsibilities Consultants on the roster may be called upon to: • Support the instructional design of online, blended and self-paced learning experiences, including the development of lesson outlines, storyboards, learning activities, assessments and learner engagement strategies; • Transform existing technical content, programme materials and subject matter expertise into learner-centred, accessible and engaging learning products; • Collaborate with programme teams, faculty members and subject matter experts to support the development and revision of learning content; • Develop and update digital learning products, including interactive learning modules, multimedia assets, videos, infographics, simulations and other online learning resources; • Support the development of course architecture and learner pathways in accordance with adult learning principles and UNSSC instructional design standards; • Publish, update and maintain learning content on Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Moodle-based platforms; • Conduct quality assurance reviews of learning products, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, accessibility requirements, instructional design standards and visual identity guidelines; • Design and produce digital learning assets using authoring and multimedia tools such as Articulate Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, Canva, Genially and similar platforms; • Support video-based learning production, including scripting, editing, captioning, accessibility adaptation and the use of AI-enabled learning technologies where appropriate; • Leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly to support instructional design, content development, multimedia production, language refinement, accessibility checks and quality assurance while ensuring human oversight and accuracy; • Support project coordination activities related to instructional design and learning production, including maintaining files, tracking deliverables, preparing briefs and monitoring progress; • Contribute to the continuous improvement of UNSSC digital learning methodologies, templates, standards and learning technologies. Required Skills and Experience: Education: Advanced university degree, preferably in instructional design, educational technology, psychology, adult education, learning sciences, communication, media production or other related areas. A first level degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be considered in lieu of the advanced University degree. Language, experience and computer skills: • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. • Demonstrated experience in the instructional design, development, publication and maintenance of learner-centred digital learning products, particularly selfpaced online modules. This should include developing or adapting storyboards,

3 learning activities, assessments, multimedia content and other learning resources in line with adult learning principles and defined learning objectives. • Proven proficiency in e-learning authoring and content development tools, including Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline 360, as well as learning management systems. Experience managing and publishing content on Moodlebased platforms is a strong advantage. • Strong ability to design and produce multimedia and digital learning assets, including interactive content, infographics, diagrams, visual summaries, presentations and video-based learning materials, using tools such as Canva, Genially, Microsoft PowerPoint, Synthesia or equivalent applications. • Proven ability to leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively in support of instructional design, content development, multimedia production, language refinement, accessibility reviews and quality assurance, while ensuring human oversight, accuracy, ethical use and data protection. • Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate with programme teams, faculty members, subjectmatter experts and other stakeholders in a multicultural environment. Willingness to learn new technology and content authoring software. Knowledge and experience working with digital tools such as articulate / rise 360 / adobe authoring tools for training purposes.
