How this works
Where listings come from
Roles are gathered every hour from official employer feeds and public job boards: UNDP official job feed, UN Women official job feed, OCHA official job feed, UNCDF official job feed, United Nations – Other Agencies official job feed, United Nations Careers, WIPO official careers, World Bank Group Careers, United Nations Volunteers opportunities, WTO e-recruitment, UNHCR external vacancies, World Food Programme vacancies, World Health Organization vacancies, World Meteorological Organization vacancies, Food and Agriculture Organization vacancies, International Atomic Energy Agency vacancies, International Criminal Court vacancies, International Labour Organization vacancies, International Fund for Agricultural Development vacancies, International Maritime Organization vacancies, International Monetary Fund vacancies, International Organization for Migration vacancies, International Telecommunication Union vacancies, International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea vacancies, UNAIDS vacancies, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons vacancies, Pan American Health Organization vacancies, UN Climate Change vacancies, UN Tourism vacancies, UNICEF vacancies, UNESCO vacancies, UNIDO vacancies, UNOPS Careers Marketplace, UNFPA vacancies, UNSSC employment opportunities, United Nations University careers, UNITAR vacancy announcements, Asian Development Bank careers, EBRD careers, Green Climate Fund careers, The Global Fund careers, Inter-American Development Bank careers, Islamic Development Bank careers, OECD careers, Employer career pages, Remote OK, Arbeitnow, Jobicy and Remotive. Every listing links back to its original posting, and applications happen on the employer's own site — this board never sits between you and a hiring team.
What counts as an impact role
Only about half of what those boards publish has a mission behind it, so each role is scored against six areas — climate & energy, health & care, education, nonprofit & social, civic & government, financial inclusion — and only those clearing a score of 45 are listed.
The scoring weights an employer's name and the job title far above body text, because the phrase that usually triggers a false match is a benefits line. A company called “Climate Policy Initiative” is almost certainly doing climate work; a SaaS listing that mentions health insurance is not a health role. Boilerplate like that is stripped before scoring.
It is keyword-based, so it is not perfect. It errs toward leaving a borderline role out rather than padding the board.
Keeping listings honest
When a role disappears from its source it is marked closed rather than deleted, so an old link explains what happened instead of returning a dead page. Nothing here is a re-posting: no listing is invented, rewritten or padded out.
