Internship for Social Policy (Lao national only)

UNICEF in Vientiane, Lao PDR is looking for a National Internship for Social Policy. The duration of this assignment is 6 months, starting as soon as possible. The intern will be based in UNICEF Office in Vientiane.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Social Policy, the intern will work closely with the Social Policy Specialist and will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the implementation of social policy programming. Interns are expected to contribute to the following tasks:
• Support the translation of material, meeting minutes, reports, agenda, and other relevant documents.
• Document and share minutes from meetings, workshops, and discussions with relevant colleagues and partners
• Support logistical arrangements for meetings, discussions, workshops, and events related to Social Policy Section activities
• Assist with communication and media products related to social policy, including drafting program briefs, presentation, and other advocacy materials.
Experience and education requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor’s (preferable master’s degree) in a relevant field, such as economics, laws, governance, social science, public administration, statistics or other disciplines pertinent to the position.
• Proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages, particularly English, at a working knowledge level.
• Mandatory fluency in Laotian.
• Experience in translation English to Lao and Lao to English in written and verbally
• Experience in design and formatting including power point presentation and cover pages.
• Demonstrated excellent academic performance through recent university or institution records.
• Ability to use technology including AI for various tasks including creating power point presentations, translation, analysis etc.
