Graphic Design (Strategic Plan 2026)
Full job description
Host entity: Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET)
Application deadline: 20/08/2026
Mission and objectives
WOUGNET mission is to promote the use of ICTs by women and girls for gender equality and sustainable development.
WOUGNET’s vision is an inclusive and just society where women and girls are enabled to use ICTs for sustainable development.
WOUGNET’s mission is to promote and support the use of ICTs by women and women organizations in Uganda, so that they can take advantage of the opportunities presented by ICTs in order to effectively address national and local problems of sustainable development. The new ICTs, in particular, email and the Internet facilitate communication with each other and the international community. Indeed, access to information about best practices, appropriate technologies, ideas and problems of other groups working on similar concerns have been identified as critical information and communication needs of women organisations in Africa.
While our emphasis is directed towards Internet technologies, we are also interested in how these technologies can be integrated with traditional means of information exchange and dissemination including radio, video, television and print media. Our goal is to improve conditions of life for women by enhancing their capacities and opportunities for exchange, collaboration and information sharing.
Assignment context
In the current global context, the work of Women of Uganda-Network is especially critical. Uganda faces challenges such as limited internet access in rural areas, high costs of connectivity, and persistent gender gaps in digital literacy. Globally, the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and digital economies has created new opportunities but also risks of exclusion for those without adequate skills or access. WOUGNET’s initiatives—ranging from digital literacy training to advocacy for gender-sensitive digital policies—help women in Uganda navigate these challenges, ensuring they are not left behind in the digital transformation. A professional, aesthetic strategic plan is required as part of a broader communications strategy to strengthen the WOUGNET brand as a Centre of Excellence on Gender Equality, Digital Innovation and Technology.
