We are currently recruiting for two permanent positions.
Purpose of Job
The Assistant Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of EBRD’s platforms and software solutions.
The Assistant Analyst completes assigned tasks with guidance from within the Squad. The role involves learning from others and applying basic knowledge of systems and tools. They contribute to the Squad’s work by assisting with routine coding or infrastructure tasks under supervision.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Engineering Excellence
- The Assistant Analyst will bring a continuous learning mindset to enable measurable improvement of technical skills, learning from more experienced colleagues to embed and embrace best practices and coding standards.
- With guidance, they take responsibility for the quality of their work and contribute to team success by seeking feedback, asking for help when needed, and participating in engineering communities of practice within and outside of the Bank.
Agile Ways of Working
- The Assistant Analyst supports agile ways of working by remaining open to learning, adapting, and experimenting. They follow squad processes, keep tasks and stories up to date, and provide clear updates during stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Work is broken down into small increments, with lessons drawn from experimentation to drive improvement. By embracing feedback and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, they help to enhance IT services.
Managing cost and budget
- The Assistant Analyst uses the appropriate tools to track time and effort, helping to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in line with expectations.

- The Assistant Analyst ensures that all deliverables meet the agreed acceptance criteria, complies with documented procedures, and strikes an appropriate balance between quality and timely delivery.
- Peer reviews are sought where necessary to maintain accuracy and momentum.

- The Assistant Analyst is aware of the fast-moving cyber threat landscape and understands that it is part of every team member's responsibility to take a 'secure first' mindset at every stage of the engineering or development lifecycle.
- The role will be diligent in following agreed principles, practices and tooling, to ensure that EBRD systems, people and data remain safe and secure.

- The Assistant Analyst recognizes the importance of meeting user needs and adopts a user-centred approach in all tasks. Learning from experienced colleagues, they respond effectively to incidents, support new feature requests, and contribute to broader engineering solutions.
- They communicate clearly, provide timely and helpful updates to close the loop, and, with guidance, create knowledge articles and self-service content. Through reliable and empathetic support, they help strengthen the Bank’s partnership with business teams.
Specialism
Workplace Technology Engineer
- Provide basic troubleshooting and support for laptops, desktops, mobiles, and peripherals across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Assist with hardware repairs, upgrades, imaging, patching, and device lifecycle tasks under established standards.
- Support common applications including Microsoft 365, VPN, and collaboration tools.
- Log and manage tickets in ServiceNow, maintaining clear user communication and accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with senior engineers to resolve issues and enhance service quality..
- Promote a customer-centric culture, ensuring positive user engagement and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Workplace Technology Engineer
- Degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
- Basic knowledge of end-user support, including devices, applications, AV, Microsoft 365, Windows/macOS, and mobile platforms.
- Familiar with network, security, and recovery fundamentals, learning from senior colleagues as needed.
- Supports accurate asset records and lifecycle tracking under guidance.
- Developing problem-solving, analytical, and escalation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging effectively with users and team members.
- Works collaboratively in a multicultural environment with supervision.
- Fluent in English; other languages beneficial.
- Awareness of IT security, data protection, and compliance principles.
- Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, or CompTIA A+ are desirable.
