Assignment context
UNICEF Algeria is strengthening its digital communication efforts to raise public awareness on children’s rights, early childhood development, and youth engagement. Short-form video content plays an increasingly important role in reaching online audiences and translating complex child rights issues into accessible, engaging, and impactful storytelling.
Through this assignment, UNICEF Algeria seeks to develop a short social media mini-series composed of six videos that highlight key themes such as positive parenting, youth engagement, and opportunities for children and adolescents. These videos will be designed specifically for social media platforms to support digital campaigns and awareness initiatives led by UNICEF Algeria.
The selected Online Volunteer will collaborate with the Advocacy and Communication team to develop a creative concept and coherent visual storytelling approach for the series, and will support the editing and adaptation of video content based on materials, scripts, or footage provided by UNICEF. The videos will be optimized for social media use while ensuring full alignment with UNICEF’s visual identity and child-rights messaging.
By helping produce accessible and engaging video content, the Online Volunteer will contribute to UNICEF’s efforts to increase public understanding of children’s rights, promote positive behaviors that support child development and well-being, and encourage youth engagement.
This assignment contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through communication on parenting and child well-being, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by raising awareness on child development and youth opportunities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening public engagement with UNICEF’s mission.
