DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The main responsibilities related to the development assignment are as follows:

    • Administer the budget and finance of the office and ensure compliant and efficient use of financial resources within the Department/Office in accordance with financial rules and regulations.

• Monitor the overall allocation of financial resources for the office through the use of the GSM oracle system and other financial tools; providing financial reports, data and statistics.

• Provides guidance on financial administration to managers and staff.

• Prepares and monitors the implementation of work plan activities ensuring objectives and priorities are met and on trackwork of administrative support in the office to ensure effective administrative services.

• Ensure smooth running of operations of administrative services including procurement of goods and services, travel, communications, and information technology needs of the office, and local service requirements

Essential: Expert knowledge of French

Desirable: Intermediate knowledge of Portuguese

REMUNERATION

Your current contractual arrangements and benefits will not be affected. If your developmental assignment involves a short-term move to another duty station, you will receive the hotel component of the first 60 days DSA rate of the duty station where you will be temporarily based throughout the entire assignment. Travel costs in economy class will be covered.
