Operations Support and Logistics (OSL) plays a critical role in ensuring the timely availability and movement of supplies, equipment, and other operational resources required to support emergency preparedness and response activities.

The WHO Nairobi warehouse requires dedicated transportation support to facilitate the movement of personnel, supplies, equipment, and other operational materials associated with warehouse operations and logistics activities. Increasing operational demands necessitate the engagement of a dedicated driver to ensure the timely, safe, and efficient execution of transport-related tasks.

The recruitment of a Driver under a Special Service Agreement (SSA) for an initial period of six months will strengthen transportation capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and support the continuity of OSL activities at the Nairobi Duty Station.

  5. Vehicle Servicing and Repairs: Identify and report mechanical defects, undertake minor maintenance where appropriate, and coordinate routine servicing and necessary repairs through authorized service providers.
  6. Vehicle Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that assigned vehicles are clean, secure, properly maintained, and equipped with the necessary safety items.
  7. Trip and Fuel Records: Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and records of official trips, mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, repairs, and other vehicle-related activities in accordance with applicable procedures.
  8. Safe Handling and Delivery of Materials: Exercise due care when transporting supplies, equipment, and other operational materials, ensuring their safe handling, security, and delivery to the designated recipients or locations.
  9. Compliance with Regulations: Observe national traffic laws, road safety requirements, and applicable WHO procedures governing the use of official vehicles and transportation of operational materials.
