For more information on ITS, see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9 v=VTFGffa1Y7w Background • The World Bank Group is undertaking the Unified Repository initiative to simplify, modernize, and standardize the institutional knowledge ecosystem. The initiative seeks to establish a unified knowledge backbone that enables consistent governance, metadata management, discoverability, interoperability, and AI readiness across publishing systems, repositories, disclosure channels, and knowledge products. • The Information Architect will contribute to the design and implementation of the future-state information architecture that underpins the Unified Repository ecosystem. The consultant will work with the implementing team to ensure that information, metadata, governance controls, workflows, and publishing processes operate as a single, integrated architecture that supports future business and technology platforms. Scope of Services • Identify gaps, duplication, and opportunities to establish a unified information and knowledge architecture. • Contribute to the design of future-state information architecture, information models, and content organization framework that supports standardized knowledge management, interoperability, discoverability, and AI readiness. • Help establish enterprise metadata standards, governance models, stewardship responsibilities, and lifecycle management processes to improve consistency, quality, compliance, and automation. • Help develop and harmonize taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, classifications, ontologies, and semantic models. • Design end-to-end information flows, content lifecycles, business rules, workflow architectures, approval processes, governance checkpoints, and ownership models supporting publishing, disclosure, and repository operations. • Define search, navigation, discovery, and access frameworks that improve findability, usability, personalization, and reuse of knowledge assets for both internal and external audiences. • Work with the information governance team to implement already established frameworks, quality standards, stewardship models, KPIs, and AI-readiness requirements to ensure information assets are trusted, compliant, interoperable, and optimized for future Knowledge Bank capabilities.
