Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Enterprise Risk Management Section of the Accountability Service in the Business Transformation and Accountability Division (BTAD) of the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The focus of this job is to support the implementation of enterprise risk management across the global Secretariat. The incumbent reports to the Senior Management and Programme Analyst. Responsibilities
Within limits of delegated authority and depending on location, the Programme Assistant may be responsible for the following duties: • Provides assistance in support of planning and implementation activities/processes for the work related to the implementation of the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework. • Researches, compiles, and summarizes analyses of the Secretariat-wide Risk registers and other relevant documents, ensuring their appropriate presentation and dissemination to stakeholders,. • Assists in the coordination of the planning and implementation of the ERM application within the Umoja (SAP) GRC module, including monitoring rollout status, supporting basic testing, and ensuring timely processing of related project documentation . • Collaborates with the project manager for the ERM application on updating the master data, on performance reporting and liaising and supporting entities with deployment and post-deployment activities. • Acts as a system administrator for third-party access to the ERM application and serves as the security liaison assistant. • Provides assistance on reporting requirements, guidelines, rules and procedures pertinent to the ERM implementation at the entity level and ensures completeness and accuracy of data submitted. • Assists in the activities of the Section, which defines a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework across the Secretariat to identify, assess, manage and monitor risks and internal controls. • Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes/projects; categorizes, updates, tracks and analyses data related to programmes/projects, e.g. accounting records, outputs, resources utilized, deviations/revisions, etc.; carries out periodic status reviews, identifies issues and initiates requisite follow-up actions; prepares revised budget estimates; reports on budget revisions, expenditures and obligations, verifies availability of funds; ensures necessary approval and entry in computerized budget system; initiates financial authorizations for expenditures. • Collaborates with programme/project managers on performance reporting; liaises with relevant parties on the interpretation of the activities/services scheduled in the PB and various planning instruments such as the medium-term plan and internal work plans; provides assistance on reporting requirements, guidelines, rules and procedures and ensures completeness and accuracy of data submitted. • Serves as focal point for coordination, monitoring and expedition of programme/project implementation activities, including those related to the working groups created under the ERM Task Force ,involving extensive liaison with diverse organisational units to initiate requests, prepare standard terms of reference against programme/project objectives, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions and resolve issues related to project implementation. • Prepares, maintains and updates files (electronic and paper) and internal databases; designs and generates a variety of periodic and ad hoc reports, statistical tables, graphic content, and other background materials/notes to facilitate inspection and other reviews. • Drafts correspondence and communications related to all aspects of programme/project administration, including work plan and budgets, revisions and other related issues, as well as prepares unit contributions for a variety of periodic reports. • Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. • Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience with enterprise risk management implementation at the international level is desirable. Experience supporting enterprise risk management processes, including through system-based tools (e.g. Umoja/SAP or similar), is desirable. Experience in data handling, reporting, or supporting system implementation and user processes is desirable.
