Duties and Responsibilities
ESCAP Transport Division is currently implementing a project on "Strengthening a coordinated and evidence-based approach to the regional transport connectivity through the use of artificial intelligence in the national and regional data tools on transport connectivity". The project aims to further develop and promote the Asia-Pacific Transport Network (APTN) platform data for greater use by policy makers to help them coordinate and use evidence-based and AI-powered tools in their decision-making processes on the future development of the regional transport network. Under the supervision of the Chief of the Transport Connectivity and Logistics Section and the project officer, the Individual contractor will support reviewing the APTN platform and its functioning, testing the existing features and organizing related consultations with the countries. Key Tasks: • Assistance in the review of the APTN technical data and interface. • Relevant data collection and analysis • Logistics support to the virtual sub-regional consultations • Assistance in testing updated APTN tools and other features
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent. At least 6 month experience in transport or sustainable development related area.
Languages
Fluency in English, written and spoken, is required.
