RAME ASSISTANT

The Office of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) Accra invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacancy below.
Job Title : RAME Assistant
Duration : 1 year (Renewable)
Post Grade : SC 5
Duty Station : Bolgatanga
JOB PURPOSE:
To coordinate and perform Research, Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation activities and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages..
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub-Office Bolgatanga and the technical supervision of the Head of Research, Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation, the RAME Assistant will be responsible for the following duties.
1. Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets related to food security
indicators, including nutrition, food systems and social protection.
2. Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and
correlations within the data, with a focus on understanding the drivers of food insecurity and vulnerability, as it relates to assessment and monitoring from WFP’s and partner interventions in Ghana.
3. Develop and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and automation processes to streamline data acquisition, storage, and analysis, and ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
4. Ensure adherence to WFP policies regarding data and visualization,
including data privacy, security, management and documentation of
codes/syntaxes.
5. Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings
effectively to stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
6. Coordinate and conduct trainings for WFP and partner staff on key
indicators, questionnaires, and remote survey methods to facilitate the effective implementation of near real-time monitoring systems. Support in the design and implementation of ODK and Microsoft Forms survey tools for multiple projects, including validation checks, skip logic, and workflow optimization.
7. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications
documenting research findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
8. Document field data collection reports, focus group discussions, and
methodological details for surveys. Prepare field mission reports to document programme implementation.
9. Supported beneficiary targeting processes, including vulnerability ranking and eligibility analysis for project participants to ensure the most vulnerable persons receive equitable assistance.
10.Other duties as required.
Minimum Academic Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Desired Experiences for entry into the role:
1.The candidate should have at least 5 years progressive work experience.
2. Has experience collecting programme output and outcome data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and reporting findings to management team, partners and other stakeholders.
3. Has experience utilizing WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standard
4. Experience in statistical analysis STATA, SPSS, Excel
5. Knowledge in data visualization tools like Tableau; Excel; Power Bi is essential
6. Knowledge in questionnaire programming with the ODK
Language:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
