The Corporate Information Technology (CIT) department provides business technology solutions that support IFC’s strategic priorities and operational excellence. Within CIT, the Core Operations (CITOP) unit plays a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining digital platforms that enable IFC’s frontline operations, including investment, advisory, and corporate services. CITOP is undergoing a significant transformation aligned with the ITS Agile framework and SAFE delivery model. This transformation emphasizes agility, product-centric delivery, and continuous improvement. The unit supports a diverse application landscape comprising in-house developed systems and customized commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. These systems span across domains such as investment operations, environmental and social risk management, development impact measurement, and client engagement. As part of this modernization journey, CITOP is expanding its Salesforce platform capabilities to streamline business processes, enhance user experience, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture. The Salesforce ecosystem—including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), and custom applications—will become a cornerstone of IFC’s digital strategy. The Associate Solution Architect will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of the Salesforce platform. This includes leading architectural design, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and enabling cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reusable, and future-ready solutions. The role also supports CITOP’s broader goals of innovation, operational efficiency, and client-centric delivery. Objectives The Associate Solution Architect will provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions across multiple business domains. The role will ensure architectural integrity, promote platform standards, and support enterprise architecture governance and innovation. Duties and Accountabilities • Architect scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including data, security, integration, and enterprise architecture. • Lead complex implementations and integrations using APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Azure Integration Services, Azure API Management, middleware, and enterprise systems. • Define and govern Salesforce architecture standards covering development, security, data management, automation, DevOps, release management, metadata strategy, and cross-org alignment. • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with strategic objectives. • Ensure platform performance, reliability, scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence across all Salesforce environments. • Establish architecture guardrails for Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, error handling, and reusable design patterns. • Own the technical roadmap, upgrade strategy, architectural principles, package dependency management, and version promotion across environments. • Evaluate and approve solution designs, architectural exceptions, and major initiatives for scalability, governor limits, performance, and long-term maintainability. • Define and govern the FSC data model (FSDM), including households, relationships, account structures, ARC configuration, compliant data sharing, and integration with enterprise master data strategies. • Define Experience Cloud architecture, including site strategy, headless and standard deployment models, guest user security, portal governance, external authentication, and secure access to FSC and enterprise data. • Collaborate with enterprise security and compliance teams to align Salesforce solutions with organizational policies, privacy requirements, and security standards, including Salesforce Shield, encryption, monitoring, auditing, SSO, and MFA. • Define enterprise integration and API patterns using OAuth, Named Credentials, Apex services, external APIs, and secure portal access models. • Lead Salesforce DevOps practices including SFDX, Salesforce CLI, Git, CI/CD pipelines, 2GP packaging, Dev Hub, Scratch Orgs, automated testing, code quality controls, and release governance. • Maintain architecture artifacts, standards, ADRs, technical documentation, reference implementations, and solution blueprints. • Serve as the Salesforce architectural authority by mentoring teams, facilitating design workshops, supporting sprint planning, reviewing complex solutions, and acting as the escalation point for critical technical issues. • Required expertise includes Salesforce platform architecture, governor limits, large data volumes, metadata-driven development, FSC, Experience Cloud, security architecture, integration patterns, Apex, Flow, LWC, DevOps, and delivery within large, regulated organizations.
