Full job description

Host entity: Rousto Charity

Application deadline: 08/10/2026

Mission and objectives

Our mission is to promote the social, economic, intellectual and informational development of cities and districts of Tajikistan, particularly through the empowerment of youth and women.

Assignment context

This volunteer assignment is a critical component of our broader Digital Transformation Initiative. As our organization scales its operations to address critical challenges in youth and women empowerment and employment, access to quality education and healthcare, our communications must keep pace. Currently, our visual materials are produced ad-hoc by different teams, leading to inconsistencies across platforms. This project was launched to centralize, standardize, and professionalize our public image. The volunteer's contribution will fit directly into our transition toward streamlined digital advocacy, serving as the visual blueprint for all upcoming project reports, social media campaigns, and external stakeholder engagement.

Task description

We are seeking a creative and strategic Online Volunteer to support the development and harmonization of our organization's brand identity in social media (instagram, facebook, tiktok, website, twitter). The volunteer will help us establish a cohesive visual presence and clear messaging that effectively communicates our mission to partners, donors, and the public. This role involves auditing our current materials, designing core brand assets, and creating a practical brand guidelines document (brand book) that our team can easily implement across all future communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Audit: Review existing communication materials, logos, and digital assets to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement.

Visual Identity Design: Develop or refine core brand assets, including a unified color palette, typography guidelines, logo usage rules, and document/presentation templates.

Brand Guidelines Document: Create a concise "Brand Book" or style guide outlining rules for visual and verbal consistency across print and digital platforms.

Asset Creation: Design standard templates for social media graphics, letterheads, and report layouts (e.g., in Canva, Adobe InDesign, or Google Workspace).

Knowledge Transfer: Provide a brief hand-over briefing or written instructions to ensure staff can easily use the new templates.

Skills and experience

We expect to have an Online Volunteer with the following skills and experience:

Education: University degree or formal training in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, Brand Management, or a related creative field.

Experiencein graphic design, brand strategy development, or creating visual corporate identities

Experience in using Canva or similar tools.

Ability to translate abstract organizational concepts into concrete visual elements (logos, typography combinations, corporate color palettes, and social media layouts).

Experience building functional, user-friendly templates for non-designers (e.g., presentation slides, letterheads, report layouts).

Ability to align artistic visual design with an organization’s strategic goals, core values, and humanitarian mission.

Sensitivity to how colors, symbols, and imagery are perceived across different cultures and global regions.

Organizational skills to manage structural milestones independently while working remotely.

Receptiveness to Feedback: Ability to accept constructive critique from internal stakeholders and iterate on designs to meet organizational needs.

Full eligibility requirements, conditions of service and application instructions are available on the official UNV platform.
