Background:
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
UN Women continues to advance its digital transformation agenda through the implementation, enhancement and integration of enterprise platforms and digital solutions that support organizational effectiveness, business process simplification, data-driven decision-making, and improved user experience. These initiatives require coordinated project management across business stakeholders, as well as effective governance, planning, risk management, quality assurance, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
PRISM, UN Women’s new corporate platform to support strategic planning, results management, and monitoring and reporting of Strategic Plan, Strategic Notes, workplans and projects, has been successfully deployed during 2025-2026 across the organization, with ensuring its integration with Quantum, UN Women’s ERP system. The priority in 2027 will be to support system stabilization and sustained adoption, deliver prioritized enhancements, optimize existing functionalities and business processes, and strengthen integrations and reporting capabilities.

This role involves managing resources and risks, and ensuring a cohesive, cross-functional approach.
Under the overall guidance of the Digital Governance Board and direct supervision by Chief Information Systems and Telecommunications (IST), the Project Manager will primarily be responsible for the effective management of assigned projects. This includes ensuring that project objectives, scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance arrangements are effectively managed and that decisions and escalations are brought to the appropriate governance bodies in a timely manner.
