GENERAL INFORMATION
JOB TITLE: Business Transformation Officer

DUTY STATION (City, Country): Aden, Yemen

DURATION: 12 Months

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:These  jobs  are  part  of  Global  Headquarters  (GHQ) and/or  Country  Offices (COs) and report to a more senior Business Transformation Officer or designate.

Job holders at this level perform activities and analytical work of limited complexity supporting several business areas and maintaining contacts with business counterparts to bring business requests into IT. They use their limited technical knowledge and experience to assist in gathering and analysing business needs and supporting solution delivery. Job holders are likely to be working under the supervision of a more experienced staff member,receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed.

JOB PURPOSE:

Partner with the business to understand their requests and operating environment in order to contribute to the transformation of business requirements into solutions exploiting IT capabilities and focusing on business satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):

  • Support digital initiatives through business cases, planning, risk tracking, stakeholder communication, benefits monitoring, post-deployment reviews and monitoring of user satisfaction, adoption and service performance.

  • Support the deployment, adoption, testing, user acceptance, documentation and handover of approved solutions, ensuring alignment with business, security, data quality and operational requirements.

  • Contribute to capturing, analysis and documentation (i.e. through diagrams, flowcharts, data models, user experience designs, storyboards) of business requirements for IT solutions and services following WFP policies, standards and strategies.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using approved WFP platforms, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform and other corporate tools, while maintaining basic knowledge of programming concepts.

  • Contribute to the baselining and tracking of business requirements through to implementation for efficient management of change.

  • Maintain up-to-date the service catalog of IT solutions offered to the business, including current,retiredand those in the pipeline to support effective knowledge management.

  • Ensure digital activities comply with WFP digital transformation standards, cybersecurity, data protection, application approval, enterprise architecture and organizational policies.

  • Assist in managing the IT service desk, ensuring effective incident and service request handling, timely escalation and resolution, accurate records, user communication, and monitoring of service performance and satisfaction.

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS (details to be determinedby Post Managers):

  • Ensure the integrity, quality, confidentiality, and availability of business data by implementing data governance practices, supporting data validation processes, and promoting compliance with corporate data protection and information management standards.

  • Maintain digital platforms supporting programme accountability and beneficiary engagement, including the operation, administration, and integration of CFM-related systems such as MODA and SugarCRM. Ensure data accuracy, secure access management, timely issue resolution, and continuous support to WFP staff and Cooperating Partners.

  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows across different functions, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements to enhance effectiveness, accountability, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and analytical reports to support evidence-based decision making, programme monitoring, and operational oversight. Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with corporate information management standards.

  • Coordinate and monitor digital transformation and information management projects throughout their lifecycle, including planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation tracking, risk management, and reporting to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Support the development and implementation of information management and data strategies, ensuring data is collected, structured, analyzed, and shared effectively to support programme delivery, emergency response, and strategic decision-making.

  • Maintain oversight of the country office digital solutions portfolio, including system ownership, lifecycle management, performance monitoring, sustainability planning, and alignment with corporate technology standards.

  • Support the deployment, adoption, and stabilization of WFP corporate and country-specific digital solutions, coordinating with global and regional teams to facilitate system integration, user acceptance testing, training, change management, and post-implementation support.

  • Drive business process digitalization and automation initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate manual processes, and improve operational efficiency through innovative technology solutions aligned with WFP digital transformation strategies.

  • Prepare and maintain functional, technical and user documentation, including requirements notes, test scripts, process diagrams, SOPs, user guides, handover materials and lessons learned.

  • Monitor user satisfaction, adoption and service performance for digital solutions, escalating gaps or risks and proposing corrective actions where needed.

  • Develop and deliver training, awareness sessions, and change management activities to strengthen the adoption and effective use of digital solutions, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across WFP Yemen.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

  • Has modelled data and information flows to document key decisions and results.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Advanced university degree in Computer Science, engineering or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience

or trainings/course.

Experiences: Total relevant 5 years of experience including 1 year of Professional experience.

Language: English - Arabic
