Assignment context
CAMAAY relies on donations and grants to continue supporting community-based projects, youth programs, and outreach campaigns. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a passionate volunteer to help us design creative online fundraising campaigns and prepare the materials our team will use to run them. Our first campaign will raise funds for first aid kits and transport for CAMAAY’s community first aid trainings. The curriculum is ready, and what we need now is the money to deliver it to more communities.
Task description
As an Online Volunteer, you will support CAMAAY in developing online fundraising campaigns by creating the plans, content, and tools our team needs to launch them.
Responsibilities:
Research and compare crowdfunding platforms (such as GlobalGiving or similar) that accept organizations registered in Cameroon, and recommend the best fit for CAMAAY.
Develop creative fundraising ideas (social media campaigns, crowdfunding, online challenges, etc.) to attract new supporters.
Prepare compelling fundraising materials, including campaign page text, email templates, and short donor stories.
Create a social media content calendar with ready-to-post texts and simple visual templates.
Work with CAMAAY’s team and other volunteers to keep campaign visuals, videos, and storytelling consistent.
Prepare a simple template for tracking donations and thank-you messages.
Provide a brief progress update every two weeks outlining work completed and next steps.
We start with a short video call to go over the first aid program and the campaign idea, then keep in touch by email and WhatsApp, with replies within about two days. A CAMAAY coordinator will guide the volunteer and review drafts.
Expected deliverables:
A ready-to-use campaign kit for CAMAAY’s first aid campaign, including the platform comparison, campaign page text, email templates, social media calendar and posts, and the donation tracking template.
A short final report with recommendations for future campaigns.
Your work will help CAMAAY bring first aid training to more communities in Cameroon and give us a campaign model we can reuse in the future.
