Full job description

Areas of expertise: Audio-visual content, Communication, advocacy, public information, Digital and social media

Application deadline: 19/11/2026

Mission and objectives

The UN Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) is the organization’s financial instrument of first resort to sustain peace in countries or situations at risk or affected by violent conflict. The PBF may invest with UN entities, governments, regional organizations, multilateral banks, national multi-donor trust funds or civil society organizations. From 2006 to 2020, the PBF has allocated nearly $1.47 billion to 62 recipient countries. Since its inception, 60 member states contributed to the Fund, and 42 have made commitments and pledges for the present 2020-2024 Investment Plan. The Fund works across pillars and supports integrated UN responses to fill critical gaps; respond quickly and with flexibility to peacebuilding opportunities; and catalyze processes and resources in a risk-tolerant fashion.

Assignment context

The United Nations Peacebuilding and Peace Support Office (PBPSO), part of the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations (DPPA-DPO), serves as a centre of excellence for conflict prevention, peacebuilding and peace support.

The Office brings together expertise in peacebuilding financing, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR), security sector reform (SSR), and justice and corrections to support nationally led efforts to prevent conflict and sustain peace.

As 2026 draws to a close, PBPSO is strengthening its efforts to showcase the tangible results of UN peacebuilding initiatives and make its work more accessible to wider audiences.

This assignment will contribute to these efforts by producing one visually compelling LinkedIn carousel highlighting selected peacebuilding achievements. The final product will help communicate the impact of peacebuilding and raise awareness of PBPSO's work among Member States, partners, civil society and broader audiences.
