THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Product Manager II is a leading performer with the ability to influence product strategy, lead products, complex feature areas, and/or initiatives with higher risk and strategic impact and significant cross-team dependencies across the larger organization through the full product lifecycle.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Here's the list tailored to a Senior PM role owning adoption growth, product discovery, and onboarding at ActBlue:
- Owns the end-to-end strategy for product adoption across the platform, setting the roadmap-level priorities that determine how campaigns and nonprofits discover, onboard onto, and succeed with ActBlue's tools.
- Manages concurrent adoption and onboarding projects across teams, planning multiple quarters ahead and directing the creation of product requirements, roadmaps, and release plans that grow platform usage.
- Applies strong analytical skills to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, including user interviews, support tickets, usage data, and market analysis, translating findings into clear, actionable product decisions that drive adoption.
- Delivers product requirements, release plans, and long-term roadmaps for onboarding and adoption workstreams in alignment with ActBlue's broader product and organizational strategy.
- Leads discussions on org-wide priorities, tradeoffs, and dependencies to ship product discovery, adoption and onboarding improvements that move the needle for campaigns' and nonprofits' fundraising success.
- Weighs the short- and long-term impact of adoption and onboarding decisions on users, ActBlue, and the fundraising ecosystem, ensuring choices align with the product vision.
- Creates well-organized documentation for complex cross-team initiatives, including strategy briefs, requirements, and rollout plans.
- Tailors communication of adoption metrics, onboarding insights, and growth strategy to the needs of engineering, design, support, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Frames the problem, ROI, constraints, and possible solutions for improving campaign and nonprofit success on the platform
- Builds strong relationships with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, support, data, marketing) to drive alignment on how to grow product adoption
- Recognized as an expert in product adoption, onboarding, and growth strategy, with strong working knowledge of the broader ActBlue product and technology stack.
- Drives research into adoption and onboarding performance, using data analysis, competitive analysis, and user research to inform product direction and prioritization.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5-7 years of demonstrable experience in product management with a track record of driving user adoption or growth
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive adoption, activation, or growth for complex web applications
- Strong strategic mindset and the ability to drive long-term strategy while effectively managing and prioritizing the execution details of ongoing projects on your team
- Comfortable moving fast and iterating, using experimentation (A/B tests, pilots, phased rollouts) to validate what actually drives adoption rather than relying on assumption or intuition alone.
- Skilled at tailoring communication for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a nimble product delivery organization where product, design, and engineering work in close collaboration
- Strong communication skills with a team-centric and remote-reliant approach to discussion and collaboration, with the ability to navigate tough conversations and strive for desirable outcomes for all participants
- Attention to detail for the design and usability of our customer experiences and empathy for our users’ needs
- Experience making product decisions through data-driven measurements and user research; competency in using SQL, Looker, or other data-visualization tools is a plus
- A strong desire for fostering inclusivity and belonging among your coworkers
- Interest in progressive politics
